I've spent the past few days desperately trying to find someone to interview about Library 2.o technologies with not a whole lot of luck. Hopefully I'll find someone before the assignment is due! Today I began the readings and viewings for module 4. It's crunch time and I'm beginning to wonder if I was completely insane to have taken a maymester class.
I'm looking foward to Larry's presentation on Dspace tonight. Despite the fact that I have no idea what I'm doing and am pretty sure I signed up for my metadata field incorrectly, I still find Dspace fascinating and am interested to know more.
Tomorrow I'll finalize typing the interviews that I had with Laura Park, the webmaster for Park County Libraries in Wyoming and with Jimmy Lo, the e-Branch manager for Dekalb County Libraries.
I'm currently a second semester Mlis student at Valdosta State University. I have a very limited knowledge of technology and wasn't planning on taking any technology classes during my time at VSU but upon entering the program I quickly came to understand that that would be a very bad idea. So, here I am in my first tech class at VSU. Hopefully this blog will show me progressing from being completely ignorant to pretty well versed on Library 2.0.
